Farmstrong Brewing Company
Farmstrong owners wanted to showcase the bounty of the Skagit Valley by partnering with local farmers and producers by launching a line of "Estate" beers using local ingredients. The owners believe that there should be a close relationship between beer and agriculture, and they point out that while technology has advanced, the basic brewing process and ingredients have not changed much over thousands of years. Farmstrong's brewery is located in Mount Vernon.

Bordered by basalt cliffs in the north while Mt Hood and Sam Hill Memorial Bridge oversee the operations from the west, the tempering effect of the river is a benefit for ripening Southern Rhone and Northern Italian varietals, especially in the summer heat. Owner/winemaker Terrence Atkins notes that with Rainfall less than 12 inches in the late fall, winter and early spring, have complete growth control of the vines and allows for consistent quality.
